Oregon's Wild West
Below are a series of photos taken near the painted hills in Eastern Oregon. The first image is an abandoned wooden structure we found as we made our way towards Fossil, Oregon. The cloudy sky made for incredible lighting and comfortable shooting conditions. The second and third photos in the series depict a decrepit auto shop in Fossil. The location caught my eye because it stood out against the rest of the town with an abandoned gas station pump and interesting lettering on the shop windows. The place evoked this amazing vintage working-class feel and I loved it. The last photo was taken at Blue Basin overlooking the hills below. My favorite aspect of that photo is the spattering of fluffy clouds across the sky that creates a heavenly, peaceful feeling.
I definitely plan on returning to Eastern Oregon sometime this summer to do additional photoshoots and possibly even a short film. We'll just have to see how things go.
