Yesterday was one of the best days I've had in a long time. This photo series depicts the beer glasses and bowls left over from the previous night's dinner. I love how the early morning light gave the beer a golden, honey-like glow that projected onto the tablecloth. I felt like the entire scene was serene and reminiscent of Ancient Greece.
I normally don't experiment much with color but I knew that if I shot this series in black and white it would detract from one of the scene's most compelling qualities - color. I didn't feel like I could capture the light absent the warm hues and the vaguely purple aura. Fortunately, now that I'm starting to explore color in my photography, I feel more comfortable taking up the job of integrating color into my visual storytelling in film.
Look out this summer for my upcoming debut film, Ataraxia.
